FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

CTF MEG Neuro Innovations Inc. is a high-technology developer and manufacturer of brain imaging systems. This position will involve working within CTF’s reputable customer service team to help integrate, install, test, maintain and service CTF’s products at customer sites worldwide. Responsibilities shall be expanded in accordance with the candidate’s aptitude and success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •      Assist in the integration and assist and/or lead in the installation of new CTF systems.

  •      Travel to assigned customer sites (both domestically and internationally) to complete testing, preventive maintenance (PM) and incidental services.

  •      As part of the above, work with cryogenics (liquid Nitrogen and liquid Helium) and adhere to related safety procedures.

  •      Manage and maintain a schedule for all on-site services and coordinate them directly with the assigned customers. 

  •      Provide remote technical support to customers to answer questions and help to troubleshoot and resolve system problems pertaining to sensor, mechanical, cryogenic, electronics and software issues.

  •      Travel to customers sites on an as needed basis to investigate and/or repair issues.

  •      Submit detailed written reports for all on-site services in accordance with CTF’s established procedures. 

  •      Report details of all technical issues, discussions and complaints from customers to CTF’s customer service manager.

  •      Submit accurate and complete expense reports promptly after each service trip.

  •      Maintain service equipment and coordinate their shipping and handling with CTF’s assigned company shipper / receiver.

  •      Assist with customer training of the basic operation and maintenance of MEG systems.

  •      Identify and convey to CTF management any operation hazards that may arise in relation to CTF’s systems, usage or service thereof.

  •      Understand and comply with CTF’s quality management system (QMS).

  •      Other service-related tasks as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •      B.Sc. or Diploma in Physics and/or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

  •      Strong mechanical aptitude with specialized knowledge and/or industrial experience in one or more of mechanical, electronic, cryogenic, or biomedical engineering.

  •      Self-driven to excel and fit into an intuitive, passionate, and highly collaborative small team-based culture, with willingness and efficiency to travel and work alone.

  •      Demonstrated field trouble-shooting and repair skills with the ability to exercise appropriate judgment on when consultation and support is required.

  •      Strong oral and written communication skills.

  •      Proficient at interacting with a diverse customer base in a professional manner, in potentially demanding situations.

  •      Previous experience with laboratory work, signal processing and/or digital electronics.

  •      Previous experience in working within the medical field.

  •      Working proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and with some experience working with Linux-based system.

  •      Valid driver’s license and Passport.
